This time,i'm going my experiences n wonderful Beijing trip of mine wif u all!!
Some introduction of the trip/event...
Beijing International Youth Art Week 2006 (北京国际青少年艺术周) ，under the theme of Unity,Friendship,Peace and Progress,took place in Beijing from 9th to 14th of August.This event was hosted by Beijing Municiple Educational Commission,organized by Beijng Center for Student Activity Management, and co-sponsored by China Chorus Association,China Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles,China Nationalities Orchestra Society,Beijing Golden Sail Calligraphy,Painting Institute and Beijing Old Educators Association. The event is aimed to display the achievements in art education by schools in Beijing,show the intelligences and spirit of Beijing youths,and provide an opportunity for the whole world to understand Chinese culture and the ancient capital city Beijing as well,and meanwhile,through communications with youths from countries across the world,to expose young students of Beijing to advanced culture of the world and fine art achievements.Over 1000 students and teachers of 11 delegations from Germany,South Korea,Japan,Malaysia,Hong Kong and Beijing participated in this event! During the Art Week,various delegations carried out exchanges in 5 fields,namely orchestra,wind band,traditional instrument orchestra,calligraphy,and painting.
I had joined this event with my Orchestra>> Malaysia ProArt Chinese Orchestra (马来西亚艺演华乐团) n i used to perform Erhu（二胡）,which is a traditional chinese instrument with 2 strings.
The 1st Day,
The plane v took from Bangkok 2 Beijing is actually delayed so v were almost late to the Opening Ceremony which held in Beijing University Centenniel Hall. After collecting all the luggages in the Airport 4 almoz an hour ,its already 7pm...n the ceremony starts at 8pm.So,v dun hav time 2 hav dinner somewhere else which its food is better than the plane's food! Finally, the organisation stuff bought us Mc'Donald's Pork Burger(板烧猪肉柳汉堡包) as our dinner...n v ate in the bus too due to the rush of time...
Bout 1 hour later...v arrived to the Beijing University Centenniel which is showed by the photos below...
ProArt arriving Beijing University 4 the Opening Ceremony of the Internaional Youth Art Week!
The Opening Ceremony started with speeches by all of the Head of each Delegation from difren countries...When the speeches was given by each representative,background music was played...A malay song --"Kau Ilhamku" which sang by a malaysian singer,Mambai, was played during the speech of Malaysia ProArt's representative..Meanwhile,Da Chang Jin was played 4 the Korean,Sakura for the Japanese....n bla bla bla...
V din stay in a hotel in Beijing n v stayed in the hostel of the Beijing no.101 Middle School(北京101中学).

2nd Day....
V woke up at 5am in the morning 2 hav breakfast...n i was so suprised dat the day was so bright ,its like 8am of malaysia...
Today is the day v r going 2 perform.But,v din practice at all n went to vist the famous ImperialPalace(故宫),which is also known as the Forbidden City(紫禁城) .

The Palace is so huge n v took bout 3 hours to complete the visit!! In the afternoon,we managed to get back to the Centenniel Hall 4 a refreshing practice...

3rd Day,
Woke up at 5 am again...n took a bus 4 2 hours to reach The Great Wall of BaDaLing(八达岭长城)...i tot i can climb up 4 a long distance up there...but all of us only walk about 20 mins n v went down...
Full of mists....
In the afternoon,v went to Beijing no.19 Middle School (北京第十九中学) 4 some interchange activities like Calligraphy,Painting n of coz the Orchestra...
All the Middle School in Beijing r so high-standard...n Chung (my school) is very very far behind......
4th Day,
We went to Yuan Ming Yuan(圆明园)..lazy 2 write bout its history here...go search in google la..xD...

The Day of Shopping!!!!!
The Day 4 us 2 waste our RenMinBi$$$!!
We went 2 Wang Fu Jing Road(王府井步行街) to shop...The place is actually 3x times bigger than Bukit Bintang in KL....Lots of thgs 2 buy there...

To me,this Beijing Trip is actually more likely 2 a Beijing Tour more than a performance...The day after our performance,i almost 4got that the main purpose i went 2 Beijing is to perform!!All the members of ProArt were having great time there with sweet memories!!!
